Dr. Barba, was truely amaing with my care, his bedside manner was excellent. Although my surgery did not go as planned. And my recovery time changed from a few days to weeks. Dr. Barba was great in providing me step by step of what was expected in the days to come for recovery. I ended up 5 days in the hospital, and both Dr. Barba & Hector, PA would come by and see me by the end of each day, for and update on my status, made me feel at ease. The staff at HMC were excellent. Still in recovery but I feel so much better.

Doctor Barba transformed and ultimately saved my life. His team gave me the information and guidance to be successful with my VSG. Not living in the area they helped arrange my pre-surgical testing, monthly nutritionist appointments, my endoscopy, etc. Marcela checked in monthly to ensure that I was getting everything done to submit my paperwork into my insurance in a timely manner. They checked in after surgery to ensure I was healing properly and now being 8 months post op I know I can always call the office if any issues were to arise. I am fortunate to have not experienced any negative effects of the surgery and I strive each day take advantage of the tool Doctor Barba gave me. I highly encourage those considering weight loss surgery to see Doctor Barba and his team.
I had gastric bypass surgery approx 11 yrs ago and I cannot say enough great things about Dr Barba. He’s an amazing Dr, so genuine, so caring, great personality, he is so smart and he knows what he’s doing. He is a great person as well, if I could still see Dr Barba, I would be on cloud 9. He’s absolutely amazing and I miss him sooo very much.
Dr Barba and his staff have been wonderful. I had a gastric bypass. Before surgery I weighed 251 pounds and after now going on my fourth month I weigh 188 pounds. I have had very little difficulties due to the constant advice from Dr.Barba and staff including the dietician. Thanks for changing my life.
As of my surgery the care and attention I have received from Dr Barba has been very good. Two days after my surgery and my hernia pain is no more, still sore and somewhat swollen, otherwise all seems to be going well and I am to return to see him in about 12 days. It has been a positive 1st surgery ever experience, and am looking forward to complete recovery. The DaVinci procedure has been very positive and promising.
Carlos Barba is an amazing doctor he as his nurses Lisa is just a kind compassionate soul and has help me through out my recovery. I had the gastric bypass surgery and had a few complication due to a hernia and that was caused by not getting up out of bed properly. And the doctor has been such a calm a amazing person he has helped to be calm and not to over worry I have lost weight and I'm still losing and I am glad I had the surgery and I am so grateful to this doctor and his nurses and staff .
